weekend pictures

Even though it has been hot for about 2 months now it really feels summery now that strawberries are in season. I got my first fruit and vegetable box from Walden Local Food and it contained a lovely punnet of strawberries which were eaten up in minutes! This weekend our little Flossie kitten turned 1 year old, no longer a kitten *sniff*.
I did lots and lots of cooking over the weekend so I have some recipes coming up this week - elderflower cordial (to be bottled tonight, hope it has worked out!), brownies, pad thai and cucumber pickle.

We did what pretty much half the country did on Saturday - lots and lots of gardening followed by cider, beer and barbecue food.

We've got lots of things planted up in the garden for the summer - tomatoes, chilis, herbs, beans, courgettes as well as spuds, rhubarb and raspberries which are well under way.



I am hoping for a good harvest this year, the fruit trees are looking well too!

bits and bobs of news..

Just a few things happening in my Etsy shop right now...

Firstly two new items are back after a looooong time away. They were previous named 'Sorbet' bracelet and earrings but I've changed the name to 'Amber Leaves' for the Autumn! :)


I also have a sale on some of my summer items, from $10, they'll only be up for a week so catch a bargain whilst you can! The sale includes these beautiful Reef Earrings made with rare lampwork flowers, they are $12 in the sale, reduced from $24.

Weekend

Apart from baking like there is no tomorrow we did actually do other things this weekend.
We had a lovely day in Suffolk yesterday which included a stop in my favourite village - Lavenham. I could very easily live here - there are several great pubs, a wonderful french restaurant, little independant shops and the best bit - an old fashioned sweet shop! If you ever get a chance to go Lavenham is a lovely place to go for a day out.

I have also been hard at work on the jewellery front, my Etsy shop is starting to look well stocked again. I am particularly pleased with my newest - Patches Earrings (first pair pictured below) - a new version of my Inkwell Earrings.

My Etsy shop will be filling up with lots more new goodies this week so keep checking back!
